PAYMENT POLICY

Mental Health services are billed by Pacific Haealthsystems, Inc. Our providers participate in most all of the major health insurance plans in the region. Following are the majority of health plans which we currently accept.

Please be aware that with any health plans, there may be deductibles and copayments for which you could be responsible.

PLEASE NOTE: YOUR INSURANCE DOES NOT PAY FOR NO SHOWS, OR CANCELLATIONS WITHOUT A 24HR NOTICE.  THIS IS NOT A BILLABLE CHARGE TO YOUR INSURANCE. IT IS THE PATIENTS RESPONSIBILITY.   

HEALTH PLANS

Every therapist and doctors here are on different health plans.  You will have to call your insurance to check if the specific doctor you are callig for is on your plan.  Usually your Mental Health portion of your insurance is handled by a 3rd party.  Some companies that are Mental Health 3rd parties are:

  • Beacon

  • Beacon Options formally Value Options

  • CHIPA/ College Health IPA

  • Magellan

  • MHN

  • HMC

  • OPTUM 

  • Holman

Some Insurances we take but not limited to:

  • Anthem

  • Aetna

  • Cigna

  • HealthNet

  • Kaiser (the part of your Mental Health needs to go thru Beacon Options.  We DO NOT take direct Kaiser.  You need to call Kaiser to get a referral. 

  • TriCare/ TriWest (NOTE: Active Reserve needs to get referral to be seen here thru PCP.  Retiree: this does not apply.)

  • OPTUM formally UHC

  • Blue Shield

  • Medi-Cal/L.A. Care (Needs to go thru Beacon.  You will have to call Beacon prior to making an appointment to be screened.)

  • Laborers Trust Fund (going thru Anthem)

QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR BILL

What billing or insurance information will I receive?

​You will receive a copy of your bill. After your insurance has paid, we'll provide you with a  statement of your account.

How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?

Generally, it takes from 45 to 60 days to obtain payment from an insurance carrier.​

​I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill -- but I can't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?

​If we have received any such information from your insurance company, we'll be glad to share it with you. However, for answers to any questions about insurance payments, deductibles, or co-payments, you generally need to check with your insurance company.
